Islay is located off the west coast of Scotland and is accessible via scheduled boat or flights, or indeed some of our guests arrive on their own boat, plane or helicopter!
Islay is the most southerly island of the Inner Hebrides and can be reached by car ferry from Kennacraig on Kintyre (2 hour journey). Flybe provide 2 scheduled flights each weekday (3 in summer) and 1 flight on Saturday and Sunday from Glasgow Airport to Islay.
Car & Ferry
Travelling from Glasgow is approximately 3 hours drive to Kennacraig on the west coast of the Mull of Kintyre. The ferry leaves from Kennacraig and arrives at either Port Ellen or Port Askaig about 2 and a half hours later.
